While most of these people never played Gran Turismo Civic race, not to speak of supercars appears in it, you can bet 100% of people “playing” new platform Ferrari racing on the road will end someday.
This is due to 200-ton Ferrari racing simulator is designed to launch the most realistic simulation pilots, which eventually will sit at the wheel of a real Formula 1 car race live.
The device consists of 10 computers, with a combined 60GB of RAM. The hydraulic system used to simulate the movement to generate a force equal to 174 horsepower, a whopping 34 more than the current Civic that I mentioned in my rather lame-joke above.
A complete 180 degree view shows the driver with five 3D video monitors. Real engine and track sounds in the cockpit are pumped through a 3500-watt Dolby surround sound system.
Unfortunately all Ferrari gave us was this picture of a rather nerdy looking Angelo Bertolini running the first test laps. The steering wheel shot is from a 2008 F1 Ferrari, just to give you an idea of what an F1 driver has to deal with as they zoom around.
The Ferrari F1 simulator will not be available to the public any time soon.
