Well, certain sufficient, it turns out that something did come from the Amazon Kindle selling out, with no sign of any restocking happening. Because Amazon has just pulled the curtain off their brand new Kindle, and sure enough, it is actually worth the wait. Bringing in that new graphite appear, plus a new look and feel to the keyboard, the new Kindle brings with it the same features that we all know and love, but plenty of new ones that we know plenty of folks are looking forward to.
What’s it known as? The Kindle. Yeah, we know, it is not meant to rock the world with its new and wonderful name. But, the new Kindle is 21 % smaller than the prior model, and it’s also 15 percent lighter. It also has a 20 percent quicker refresh rate than the previous Kindle, and it nevertheless has an E-Ink display. It comes in two colors: white and graphite. As the title suggests, there’s two models that will be made available on August 27th, one WiFi-only design, and a 3G-capable device which will nevertheless rock AT&T’s network.
The screen size is still 6-inches, but Amazon stresses that the refresh rate is quicker, and the display’s contrast is much better. The internal storage is 4GB this time around, and the battery is measured at one month without any wireless turned on. Or, if you have to have your wireless turned on, it will go for 10 days. There are also going to be UK-based versions, for £109 and £149, respectively.
The keyboard has been slightly tweaked and streamlined, and the new five-way controls are smaller. However, probably the most notable change is the Webkit browser that Amazon is saying is “experimental.”
