Assessing child-resistant digital cameras for children of grade school
Do not! Digital is great for children.
1) Hazards may come with digital cameras.
A quick trip through MySpace to reveal more expensive. In children who are too young to wear braces! (MySpace requires that a child of 14 before they can have their own page, but no ID is required. We grade 3 and 4 who said they had 14 and start loading the images online. No wonder that many parents have pages too!)
Camera phones, web-cams and digital cameras can be a mixed blessing, especially in the hands of young people.
2) CHEAP cameras are bad business.
Sure, it’s fun to take pictures on a special occasion. Children learn by doing, and photography is a valuable skill. But digital cameras for children are not the answer.
My son has been through three price digital cameras in less than two years.
First, I sent him to camp for a week with a digital camera for $ 20 from Walmart. AAA batteries are swallowed and took pictures ridiculously grainy.
Then be the $ 50 version, which had a small screen on the back. This handy feature helped him focus and elaboration of images. However, low resolution images are of poor quality remains. Finally, this camera fell on the pavement at a theme park, and broke.
At Christmas, my daughter received an ION digital camera lens. (It cost less than $ 20 on sale.) We have never been able to do this work from the camera. There has never been a single image.
3) Pictures Digital Consumer Computer Memory.
During the phase of digital photography, my children click the images constantly. (After all, the photos are free!) Almost overnight, our team of powerful family groaned under the burden of hundreds of graphics files.
Even bad pictures can max out your memory!
4) disposable cameras are still a Good Deal.
After all our digital debacles, we returned to our children in the old photograph. If my children have a week at camp, special outings, or fun family holiday, then buy a disposable camera and develop what the results.
If I find any pictures of the collection is worth, I just scan them into our system.
Sure, we spend a little on the development of photographic images of questionable quality. But we are not afraid to find family pictures online!
Incidentally, I use almost exclusively digital for personal and professional photography. With camera quality, resolution, and the results are sufficiently close to the traditional technology make it very useful.
